Christmas 2009

I have been so terrible about posting recently and I shouldn't have because we have BIG news!  EVELYN ELLIOTT PAUL (to be called Evie) joined the family on April 21, 2012!  She is absolutely 100% precious and her big sisters, and cousins, are crazy about her!  I will post pictures as soon as I get them transferred from texts to usable blog photos.  (I think that frustration with posting pictures is why I ended up taking a break from blogging.  I see a new look here at blogspot so maybe the problems I was experiencing have been worked out.  Fingers crossed!)

Meet Sealy!

The Fussells dogs, Powder and Charlie, died within weeks of each other shortly before Christmas. The family has been wanting another pet but didn't want to rush into anything. I think, now, they are very happy that they waited. Last week they were introduced to this precious pup. She had been discovered between two discarded mattresses, where she had cleverly chosen to retreat from the cold. They have named her Sealy, which is super appropriate. As one of my friends commented on facebook, "I like Sealy. Sterns and Foster would be a mouthful!"

Hattie in a Nannah original!

I am hoping to make all the grandchildren sweaters similar to this one. I began with the youngest, Hattie Elaine Paul. She will probably be my most serious model! Most of the time she is grinning and brimming with mischief!

Our Nativity Scene

Last year I posted a photo of the manger that Tom had built as the beginning of our nativity scene. This year he and DanMan finished it. I think it is a very special symbol of the true meaning of Christmas.

Cousins

Hannah was in a play titled HOW I BECAME A PIRATE. Jenny brought Kate and Lucy to El Dorado where they joined up with Julie and Maddy. Here are four of my grandgirls after the performance. Pictures like this one make a Nannah's heart sing!

Jill and Stephen made a weekend trip to Memphis leaving their girls with the Pauls. I am not sure why Kate needed to be made up AFTER her bath but Lucy looks like a pro as she "does Kate's face".

I think these pictures will be recognizable to anyone who reads The Johnson Journal. What a bunch of precious Wildcat fans!! DanMan joined us late and Hannah was busy doing big girl stuff!
